Day 1: Vancouver - Winthrop
Departing Vancouver in the morning, you’ll cross the border into the U.S. and enjoy the scenic highway route through North Cascades National Park. Overnight in historic Winthrop. This small town, with its buildings and shops from a century ago, is well worth exploring.
Day 2: Winthrop - Glacier National Park
Continue on scenic highways to arrive at night at West Glacier, the western entrance to Glacier National Park. The accommodations for your two-night stay are either just outside or just inside the park.
Day 3: Glacier National Park
Today you’ll travel one of the world's most imposing and spectacular “roads”: the Going-To-The-Sun road, a route already used by the native peoples of North America long before the white man arrived. Spend a few hours in Logan Pass; go for a hike up into the mountains and enjoy the spectacular views of peaks and valleys. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.
Day 4: Glacier National Park - Banff
You’ll head back across the border into Canada in the morning and through Kootenay National Park into Banff National Park. En route, you’ll visit Radium Hot Springs and walk along Marble Canyon before arriving in Banff National Park and the small town of Banff, where you’ll stay for two nights.
Day 5: Banff
In the morning, you’ll visit Lake Louise (the town and the lake), Moraine Lake and the Valley of Ten Peaks and walk in Johnston Canyon. You’ll see the Hoodoos at Tunnel Mountain and the Bow waterfalls, and have time to browse through the unique shops and boutiques of picturesque Banff.
Day 6: Banff - Kelowna
Westbound now, through Yoho National Park and the wonders of Emerald Lake and the Natural Bridge, with a stop at the overlook of the Spiral Tunnel, built by CP Rail almost 100 years ago. You’ll cross Rogers Pass in Glacier National Park, where the railroad builders had to contend with avalanches and record annual snow falls, then travel through Mt. Revelstoke National Park and into the Okanagan Valley with its many orchards and estate wineries. Overnight in Kelowna.
Day 7: Kelowna - Vancouver
Visit a winery in the morning, then return to the Coast and Vancouver via the spectacular Coquihalla Highway across the Coastal Mountains and the Fraser Valley. You'll arrive in Vancouver in the late afternoon and your tour ends with a transfer to your hotel in Vancouver.
